Shearwater has been the favourite holiday destination for four generations of our family for nearly 50 years. Reflecting the heart of our large family, the house is well equipped to cater for many guests, including kitchen equipment and basic supplies.

SHEARWATER FRASER ISLAND

Shearwater is a great family holiday destination, located within the dingo proof fence at Happy Valley, half way up the eastern beach of Fraser Island. Walking distance to the beach, local store, bar and bistro, this well appointed home will comfortably accommodate and entertain 2 families.

Facilities

There is a library of reference books on Fraser Island and the surrounds, along with books to help identify local birds and fish, for those thirsty to learn more about the Island.

MASTER BEDROOM RETREAT

The master bedroom is located on the second floor. It has an ensuite and separate sitting room complete with a lounge suite, table and chairs, fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.

MAIN BEDROOM DOWNSTAIRS

The main downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, lots of cupboards, and plenty of room to accommodate a cot or additional bed. A portacot, high chair, baby bath and change mat are all kept in the cupboard in this room.

DOUBLE ROOM PLUS 2 BUNK ROOMS

There is also a double bedroom downstairs, plus two rooms each with a set of double bunks. There is a spare mattress under each of the sets of bunks in case your family numbers swell past 10.

Thank you for our stay at Shearwater. You have thought of everything! The house is so well equipped and comfortable. It made it that much more enjoyable to show our international students from Norway and Italy the beauty of Fraser. We usually camp, but it was really nice to have the comforts of home. Will be recommending "Shearwater" to everyone. Thank you again.
